History

Our story began in the late 1970’s when company founders Larry (food scientist) & Terry Walters (engineer) began harvesting amaranth seed and pioneering ancient grain development at their family farm. A few years of process and product development success led to the formation of Nu-World Amaranth, Inc. in 1983.

While our products and services have adapted to the market’s current awareness of ancient grains, natural nutrition or gluten free and allergy friendly ingredients and foods, Nu-World’s passion remains unchanged.  For more than 30 years, Nu-World has provided unique and healthful production services in a conscientious manner.
